Steve
Marshall is a veteran writer and producer for
television and films. Most notably, he began his
television career as a writer and story editor on the
classic WKRP IN CINCINNATI. While on that show, he rose
to the rank of producer, then joined forces with fellow
writer Dan Guntzelman for a writing and producing team
that helped shape tv sitcoms for a decade to come.
Marshall and his partner went on to executive produce
the ALL IN THE FAMILY spin-off, GLORIA, starring Sally
Struthers and Burgess Meredith. They followed that with
the creation of a short lived but critically acclaimed
sitcom, OFF THE RACK, starring Ed Asner and Eileen
Brennan. Their next job proved to be their longest
running when they took the executive producer reins of
the ABC hit, GROWING PAINS. They also created that
show’s spinoff, JUST THE TEN OF US. The pair then helped
launch the fledgling UPN network with their highly
praised one-hour comedy-drama about the television news
business, LIVE SHOT. Marshall and his partner co-wrote a
number of films, the best known of which is the 20th
Century Fox release, REVENGE OF THE NERDS, II: NERDS IN
PARADISE.

Patty
Miller-Marshall came to her love of movies late in
life, when her new husband, Steve, started dragging her
to them. She learned that, while it was convenient to
rent movies on home video, there was no substitute for
seeing them on a big screen with faces fifty feet high,
accompanied by a huge tub of popcorn and a
bladder-buster sized Diet Coke. Professionally, Patty is
currently a social worker at Arkansas Children’s
Hospital. Her past accomplishments are many and varied,
having run a psychiatric unit for a major Southern
California hospital (a job for which she was more than
qualified by virtue of her marriage to Steve) and
serving as a regional manager for a foster care agency.
She has also worked in private practice as a therapist
and served as one of the first female parole agents in
the state of South Dakota. Among her many abilities,
Patty is a talented writer. She is a published poet and
is currently at work on her first novel, a fact-based
story on the life of a mass murderer who terrorized
South Dakota in the 1940s. She is a true Renaissance
woman who also manages to find time to be the mother of
six and grandmother of ten.

Chris
Miller-Marshall is a student at Little Rock’s
historic Central High School. He comes by his love of
movies naturally as his mother reports that, at the age
of one year, he would stand in his playpen and stare at
the television for as long as there was a movie on it.
His favorite at the time was 101 DALMATIONS. He watched
that film approximately 101 times, presumably once for
each Dalmatian. Chris’ favorite genre is horror and he
substitutes on THE POPCORN CHRONICLES for his mom when
she is too lily-livered to attend something scary. His
favorite directors in the genre are Wes Craven and Rob
Zombie and his professional goal is to become their
colleague and direct horror films himself. His movie
snack of choice is Milk Duds.
